First off, if you've seen my videos, I prefer close up but am no slouch at platform material. My fave effect is a color change, and I seem to be rather good at them. I want to be able to do it all, as I'm sure we all would but I'd like an opinion. I've heard and found this to be true. "It's better to be able to do a few things well, than a hundred sleights terribly." So I ask based on what you've seen, any ideas what my "signature" should be?

I had never really gone out in search for my signature routine but after you try effects after a while sometimes effect become your signature routines just out of natural selection.

For me it was one of my first major magic tricks I learnt when I was getting into magic out of Bob Longs “World’s Best Card Tricks” titled Astounding Appearance. I would perform this effect and at the point of the effect I would click my fingers as a magical gesture and because it was so bewildering people would ask to do the “Clicking trick” as they dubbed it and has been called ever since.

In my case it was the audience that really chose my signature piece, but if you chose to select an effect that YOU wont to be known for, then I’m thinking that you will have to be your own PR man.

“Now this trick I’m about to perform is my signature piece etc”: You get the point.
