Hello Magical Friends,

I've been interested in magic  since  I was 10.  My uncle Frank Ramirez was a professional magician, so I got my start through him.  My mom says that he would spend hours in front of the mirror practicing until he got it right.  Then he would perform in front of her and her sister.  It was their job to see if they could "catch" the move or not.  If they did, he would go back to the mirror and continue practicing.

Uncle Frank died this past summer in San Antonio, Texas.  They are STILL sorting through all of his magic items at his home.

Anyway, this profile is about ME.  I don't perform much anymore because I embarrass my wife when I perform in public.  She says it's like being married to a clown and that is embarrassing to her.  (Sorry if I offended some of you out there.)  What's interesting is that everytime we go back home and visit her family, they ALWAYS ask me if I brought any more magic to show them.  They are my biggest fans.

I enjoy performing every now and then, though.  My favorite kind of magic is stage or platform magic.  I love calling for volunteers to come up and I love seeing the looks on their faces when I stump them.  I particularly like the sucker-type effects because they think they're in on the secret and then BAM, they don't know WHAT happened.

My all-time favorite effect (and there have been many) has to be the "Streamer Envelope Prediction".  I spend 15-20 minutes on this one effect alone.  It's the climax of my shows and it is what is being talked about for days afterwards.  Go to http://magic.infoproducts4you.com/streamer.html to read a description of what it looks like.
